'Out Of Gas'

Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

I consulted the tubes for any other references to a name change, to thankfully no luck. Though I did find the wikipedia entry for Eureka, where it says that Eureka was originally going to be an animated series. Glad they didn't go in that direction!

Also says that Colin is "pleasant and believable," which I think is an excellent description.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

SG-1 's ratings (and to a lesser degree, SGA's) have been in free-fall this year into the low-to-mid 1's. But I thought they were both hovering around the 2.0 level last year.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

This might have been what started my train of thought:

The ratings of both Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis have dipped and there is no guarantee that without their strong lead-in, Battlestar Galactica will fare any better when it finally airs in October. With all the advantages of the original three-hour programming block behind it, its ratings were only on par with those of Stargate last season.

From scanning various google hits, it seems that BSG did outshine the Gates in its first year.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

SG-1 was down around 1.4, 1.5 this year, though for 200 it bounced back up to a 1.9 (which is about its average from last year, if I remember correctly). SGA was running one or two tenths higher.

Art Crawl!!!

Watched tonight's Eureka repeat. Loved it EVEN more.

ETA: I noticed that the BSG promo (NOT the same one as Tuesday) says that the premiere is October 6th at 8 pm central. Is it a two hour premiere? Or have they moved it up an hour?

If Doctor Who is at 7, what is at 9?

You guys aren't the only ones hoping there aren't guest appearances in the ECW ring. I'll be killed.

Is it a two hour premiere?
Yup. They're two separate episodes, but I think they're packaging them together.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oh, just have Erica show up in her Jo uniform. She'll protect you.

There would be such an outcry if you came to any damage! So not happening.
