I doubt HRG would allow Mrs. Bennett to be wiped again
Really, how could he put us through that! It also makes it that much more heart wrenching that HRG asked him to go deep, knowing the damage it does.
Seriously still reeling at the awesomeness of that episode!
c) the knowledge that Claire has powers and Bennet's dealings with the Haitian and his safehouses, etc.
d) the details of the escape plan
I think it's a combination of these two. what would be the point of completely mindwiping him of everything Claire related? unless, they're afraid that the bossman will have Matt read his mind and realize that HRG loved Claire and put two and two together about his mindwipe.
Although, I'll admit that "saving the person you love, at the cost of never being able to see them again" is my #1 bulletproof narrative kink, so I might have been looking for it where it wasn't intended.
Kate, it's one of my kinks as well.
But I think everyone making it out of that house alive was our "everybody lives" moment.
I cried a little during the commercial because I was CERTAIN someone was going to die, and the tension had built up SO GREATLY that I had to release it.
It also makes it that much more heart wrenching that HRG asked him to go deep, knowing the damage it does.
you know, when he said Go Deep, I thought that he was referring to the Haitian hiding Claire, not in his mind. Interesting.
Someone noted that "Go deep" was the same command he gave to completely wipe the rapist quarterback.
I think "the aristocracy" is the sort of thing one hears out of Russia and other, more serf-y parts of the world than out of rural Britain.
They have aristocracy in Britain and I certainly heard a fair amount about it when I was there. I'm surprised that isn't something Americans see.
A complete wipe of the HRG would support the idea that the Haitian is on some sort of vendetta. The bare minimum wipe would be to clean out the escape plan--leaving him without memories of her powers when Eric Roberts knows full well she has them would be weird.
Poor Matt!
I have to participate in the redundancies--everyone was so good in this ep, and Mom, Dad, and Clare totally took themselves far away from who they initially appeared to be.
I love Clare. I want her to marry Hiro in the future. She's not a whiz kid, exactly, but she's brave. And good, but a teenager. So it's not always a good plan, nor even actually thought out. But her bravery doesn't waver.
And we still don't have a Linderman, do we?
P-C, your tag ("Don't make me use my moon powers on you!") makes me laugh.
We actually had a glimpse of Linderman in the promo for the next episode
He has facial hair.
"Go deep"
and it's also a football term! coincidence? I think not!
Papa Winchester, or Papa Bennet?
Jack Bristow. IJS
Yeah, Jack's kinda the dad. He'll kill anyone in a fraction of a heartbeat, just so his baby's okay.
P-C, your tag ("Don't make me use my moon powers on you!") makes me laugh.
Hee. It makes ME laugh. It's from the "School Time Shipping" (password: KOH) chibi short for
Avatar.
And I don't know how funny it would be to a non-watcher, but there it is.
