You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

but, didn't they forget all about it?

Wouldn't they have seen the top of the silo when they paved it over? There had to be some sort of silo structure to let it raise and lower like it did. Also, it's the current residents who had forgotten. That street's been there a while.

eta: And bon bon's right.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

it's the current residents who had forgotten

So GD was on top of the whole thing and still gave it to Fargo as an office?

There were no records of the project except the paper in Fargo's office which had clearly been down there since the project. Having worked for the government, if there's no record, it doesn't exist. the jail once lost a prisoner because he had been ill, so he couldn't be released on his official release date. They track prisoners by their release date, so they had no idea where he was. I had to have them do a cell check to find the guy.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I do imagine Eureka being the kind of place where you could get away with secretly building a death ray underneath the town square. It just seems to fit.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Right. I mean, all you need to do is to use the town-memory-erasing ray after.

or it's the kind of place where everyone is doing their own thing, and no one would get involved in what someone else was doing. All the someone else would have to say is "level 5" and you'd say "oh" and go on about your business.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

*I* could not live in a town like Eureka. I am way too curious for my own good. I would say "oh" and then go off and post secret public internet rantings about my paranoid speculation about whatever the topic at hand was.

You'd be Mulder!

Hee! I totally would.

Yeah, I had big issues with the placement of the silos. The architecture of the exterior of the Sheriff's office seems to be older than the 50's, so Main Street would have to be that old....unless the Silos were around the Sheriff's Office... then again, Main Street might have been something else - like part of a millitary base and all that stuff was assumed to be defunct - like some of the New York subways.

I might be over thinking things.

And yes, I now understand handwaving. I understand that it's more common than not on TV but, personally, I'm shooting for a little as possible. It always bugs me a bit.

I now hear that next year we'll be getting darker in tone. Interesting.

Oh, the numbers held again - down a slight bit (from 2.0 to 1.96) basically we're holding. Which is good.
