I do imagine Eureka being the kind of place where you could get away with secretly building a death ray underneath the town square. It just seems to fit.
Right. I mean, all you need to do is to use the town-memory-erasing ray after.
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

or it's the kind of place where everyone is doing their own thing, and no one would get involved in what someone else was doing. All the someone else would have to say is "level 5" and you'd say "oh" and go on about your business.
*I* could not live in a town like Eureka. I am way too curious for my own good. I would say "oh" and then go off and post secret public internet rantings about my paranoid speculation about whatever the topic at hand was.
You'd be Mulder!
Hee! I totally would.
Yeah, I had big issues with the placement of the silos. The architecture of the exterior of the Sheriff's office seems to be older than the 50's, so Main Street would have to be that old....unless the Silos were around the Sheriff's Office... then again, Main Street might have been something else - like part of a millitary base and all that stuff was assumed to be defunct - like some of the New York subways.
I might be over thinking things.
And yes, I now understand handwaving. I understand that it's more common than not on TV but, personally, I'm shooting for a little as possible. It always bugs me a bit.
I now hear that next year we'll be getting darker in tone. Interesting.
Oh, the numbers held again - down a slight bit (from 2.0 to 1.96) basically we're holding. Which is good.
Colin--I don't know if you saw my speculating upthread, but I was wondering if Thatcher's thoughts are gone from Jack's head, or if we're going to be seeing some repercussions from the events of this week's ep at some future time.
Also, is Eugenia coming back? Because I really liked her and her chemistry with Zoe.
I now hear that next year...
Next year? That is good news.
...we'll be getting darker in tone.
As long as it's not Battlestar Eureka. (Although others might feel differently.)

Heh, I was going to mention that...
Eureka is super-cute, and I don't care so much about the sense-making. So there.
I loved the Power Walk of the old geniuses going into their forgotten lab to kick some physics butt one last time.
Totally! And I can see Thatcher (weird Grey's Anatomy resonance there) bringing Eugenia along just because of the 40 years of catching up.
This season won't have those guys back, but I know the writers have every intention of keeping the characters coming back.
Oh, and definately not "Battlestar" dark. We'd have to keep the humour of the show or I think we do ourselves a big disservice. I think they want to bring some darker tones into the show "as is". And bring in a more serial element.
And I was being hopeful saying "next year", but there are no promises yet.
