As part of how their brain works, yeah? T'would make sense. I do wonder if he'll overload at some point (assuming the hearing thing doesn't do him in, in whatever way)
'Heart Of Gold'
Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Just finished my re-read of Dead Beat. I love that book.
"When you do something stupid and die, it's pathetic. When you do something stupid and survive it, then you get to call it impressive or heroic."
"What we're doing right now...It's pathetic. Isn't it?"
"Probably."
Did you see the "Ask questions for PB" thread?
No. I'm not seeing it on Jim Butcher's site. Is it on the Sci-Fi forums? Because they scare me. As rambling and frightening as some of the posters on Jim's site can be, some of the posters on the Sci-Fi forums seem ten times worse.
And Terrence Mann seems like a really nice guy.
Yeah. He seemed just as thrilled to meet Jim as the latter was to meet him.
Dresden: I hope they get more time/budget to get more exterior Chicago establishing shots and really make it their own.
Definitely. Early on, Robert Wolfe was hoping they could at least do the occaisional scene in Chicago, like ER does, if not actually film there regularly (Chicago's been doing some incentives to encourage filming in the city, but apparently Toronto is still a good deal cheaper.) but for season 1 it just wasn't in the budget.

it IS pretty scary over there --they make even *me* look mature, which is saying something.

Also, love that exchange between Harry and Thomas !
Long live Sue! And polka! (I've been wanting to ask Jim if his "too pretty to die" was a FF reference) Here's to season 2!

Thanks.

Actually, it's with Ramirez as they head into the final battle. (The advantage of just finishing the book, because I'd originally remembered it as Harry and Thomas myself.)

I know Jim's a big Buffy fan and I know he's familiar with Firefly because it was one of the first things brought up on his forums when it was revealed the episodes would be airing out of order, so I wouldn't doubt it.
d'oh, well, R shares many similar (read: vain) traits with T.
I'm still strolling back through Full Moon. I'm actually amazed to find myself halfway through the story and not realizing it --as in: "I've been enjoying all this and so many pages have passed?!" Usually it's "these many pages have passed and the author hasn't gotten to the point yet?!". JB really makes the journey enjoyable. What I read feels like it should be a books first act setup, but the realization that I'm halfway through does nothing to detract from my enjoyment. If that made any sense in a non-negative way. Esplaining takes too long --to sum up: I really love the books.
edited because "vein" is not the same as "vain"

I agree. They have quite a few lines that could be substituted for the other. Though R tends to be more cocky, where T is more of a smartass.
I've been wanting to ask this question for awhile, but I'm not sure where, and I'm not sure those that could answer it would (for spoilery reasons), but do you think we'll ever get to read about another characters perspective when they soulgaze with Harry? I'd think not, since everything's his pov, but it's still possible we'd find out verbally what they saw (which would be *really* interesting after events in Death Masks.) But perhaps storytelling-wise might be like JB shooting himself in the foot.
We get the occaisional hints from people's reactions (Susan passes out, Agent Denton screams about hell, a certain character gets ice water dumped on her head, etc) but nothing definite. I also think (and this has been voiced on Jim's boards by others) that the gazer's own perception figures into what they see. They still see the naked truth about the person, but the imagery is dependant on the one seeing it.
Yeah, I do wonder, if anyone were to soul-gaze Harry after Dead Beat what they would see. Though the person he soul-gazes in Proven Guilty makes no mention of it, and I imagine it would be quite the question to ask. I have a feeling Harry would have to take the next step in that relationship (from DB) for his soul-gaze to change.

which is what makes me really curious, but the perspective of the books makes me doubtful that we'll ever truly know. Perhaps what is left to the imagination is the best?

she says "I didn't know" (or something to that effect), which is vague, could mean a lot of things. Things we already know Elaine, killing Justin, being involved in Susan getting turned, being tortured by various creatures,
or things we don't know as of yet

sweet!
Am I right in thinking Peter can only use one power at a time? As in, can't fly while invisible?
We shall see.
Andi thinks Peter may be becoming Superman, in essence.
It's been mentioned before he's the Anti-Sylar. Absorbing powers without the whole brain thing.
Now if he just got the Little Nicky hair lopped off.
