Simon: Captain... why did you come back for us? Mal: You're on my crew. Simon: Yeah, but you don't even like me. Why'd you come back? Mal: You're on my crew. Why we still talking about this?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Sad about Ando being played so easily.

but not surprising.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

but not surprising.

No, I am surprised. I didn't have any reason to think he was a blithering idiot--he seemed far more sensible than Hiro, for all that he went along with him. In fact, I thought of him as the sensible one of the pair, looking out for his friend.

Fish out of water doesn't account for his behaviour here--maybe she reminds him of Niki? I don't know. He's acting like a moron and it reduces any sympathy I might feel for him.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

BSG renewed:

In a press released issued by NBCU, the company said SciFi has ordered "a minimum of 13 hours," indicating that it is a partial pickup order giving the network the option to order more episodes based on ratings and other financial and industry factors. "Battlestar Galactica" producer David Weddle told SyFy Portal Monday night that SciFi Channel is still deciding on whether Season 4 should be 13 episodes, or possibly a 22 -- making it the longest season yet for its critically-acclaimed series. "We should have a decision on that soon," Weddle said.

Huh, this is interesting:

"Taking A Break From All Your Worries," which the network publicly was not happy about since it was supposed to be a lighter episode, brought in 2.5 million total viewers to the show, plus 1.6 million adults 18 to 49, the largest audience for any BSG episode since the Season 2 premiere, network officials said.

Art Crawl!!!

Okay - SUPERNATURAL Fans you must RACE to the CW website and view the Director's cuts - not only does the first one have the Mouthbreather from Wonderfalls but the second one has Dean and Sam wrestling on a bed.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

It looks like this week's Supernatural is their homage to the XF episode "Syzygy".

I have a lot of opinions for someone who doesn't watch the show.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

In fact, I thought of him as the sensible one of the pair, looking out for his friend.

Well, he did imagine that he could have a real relationship with an Internet stripper.

Heh. Dana hasn't drunk the Kool-Ade yet. Shrift's falling down on the job, I suspect.

"Sure, fine, whatever."

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

See, Dana, I was thinking more Bad Blood

But it can be both!

So, this SPN is going to be very entertaining, eh? He says after reading Dana and Plei's whitefont but not watching the Director's Cut because he doesn't do that sort of thing.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Well, he did imagine that he could have a real relationship with an Internet stripper.

Taking off from this - I hate to say this but Ando and Hiro acted totally in charcter.

Ando gave every sign of having about a 13 year old sexuality. Not only did he imagine he could have a real relationship with an internet stripper. His first reaction when Hiro claim powers was to challenge him to teleport into the girls restroom or dressing room or whatever it was. When he meets Hiro's hot sister, when she give Hiro a goodbye hug, he tries to sneak one too . Ando may have common sense in other area, but he always has show signs of being one of those guys who, when the penis rises, it drains all the blood from his brain. He did not respond to this latest girl as a Galahad. He responded because he saw a girl in what looked like a showgirl costume crying. Ando is smart enough otherwise, but too much of him thinks porn movies are documentatries.

Hiro has a more subtle weakness. He is smart enough in a lot of ways. He even has social skills. He can read people. But is utterly lacking in guile. He has zero discretion; he tends to say more than should, reveal more than he should. Because he also has charm, this had fewer consequences for him than you might expect. But against a really bad person, the indiscretion costs him, and the charm buys him nothing.

Both Hiro and Ando have growing to do. Until they mature, they need to team with people whose weaknesses differ from theirs.
