It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

At least wrestling is a little closer to being reality based than that John Edward stuff they used to run. ;)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Nothing has ever made me wish as hard for a real-life Evil Dead possession scenario as catching John Edwards on TV.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If Sci Fi has to whore themselves out 5 evenings out of 7 so I can get two evenings of enjoyable genre (don't pretend you don't know what I'm saying) TV, and some days of old stuff. Bring it on.

It's sort of like a PBS pledge drive, except with wrestling instead of Roy Orbison.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

It's sort of like a PBS pledge drive...

Or *shudder* the Channel 2 / WGBH Auction (aka the PBS pledge drive without any programming).

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

John Edwards, I think that's really exploitative and unethical. Sci-fi wrestling (seriously, they had a zombie in the first episode)-- that is hilarious.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I think they should take a page out of the Mind of Mencia playbook and have random Supreme Beings battle it out.

But I do think he's saying that the sample is not representative.

My problem is that a sample doesn't need to exactly match the general popoulation's demographics. You don't need 13% of the sample to be DVR users to report on what DVR users are doing. That's why you weight the data. Maybe Nielsen doesn't do that, or he doesn't think they do it properly, but then the problem isn't the sample.

I'm still predicting that networks will gradually shift focus so that instead of seeing DVDs as an extra profit on top of broadcast, broadcast will become advertising for DVDs and downloads. How many shows are available on iTunes now?

I am one with bon bon.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm really sure Veronica herself doesn't have one.

I've seen her flip open her phone to a qwerty keyboard and send a lot of texts. Although I'm sure other phones may flip open, this seems very Sidekickish to me.

I've just blocked out the wrestling. It's too disturbing for me to realize that Scifi is running it, even if it's to keep the lights spaceships on.

See I recall a Treo/Blackberry sort of a setup, not the slidey thing that Sidekicks do.

If I were a better VM fan I could remember an episode in which it was used and then look up the screencaps.

Wait..like the season finale!
