Well, other bands know more than three chords. Your professional bands can play up to six, sometimes seven, completely different chords.

Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Now tagless for your comfort.

You may end up asking a lot of questions, which of course would be cool.

I'm eyeballing the season pass on itunes for season 2.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Reading The Dresden Files, loving every minute of it. Realizing just how much more awesome the show would be with all the nuances/flavors/aspects existing in just the first two books. The show is like an alt universe. I think the electricity thing would have been awesome to keep. Yummy lighting by candlelight, Harry walking down a hallway and lightbulbs poofing out dramatically. Maybe more of that will come into play later on-- I don't think they've painted themselves into a corner on that matter. . . yet.

Even the books state that speaking the incantations aloud are merely a way to fine-tune the spells, and I've always found them to be silly to hear, so I don't miss that. The soul-gazing seems to be a big thing to lose, however.

And I thought the character torture in the show was fun! *starts Shallow Grave*

Art Crawl!!!

Have you guys noticed how they've changed the BSG promo that goes "One will . . . one will ,. . . etc" - now it's "One will die, one will fulfill their destiny One will find earth ". Interesting.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Oh, lord. Just reading this is making me tear up with Winchester love.

God. Dean slays me. But he didn't at all, initially. It was Faith that made me start to get the Dean-love, I think, and then the Wicked Kiddie-eating Witch episode just broke me into wee pieces. Although...when was the going-back-to-their-house episode? With the calling-John? Because, crumbs, that was OWCHy.

Um. So - yeah. All my flail are belong to the Winchesters.

fwiw, wrt the blonde/brunette thing, almost all the female characters I can think of off the top of my head are brunette - Not!Fred, Sheriff CompetentLady, WendigoBaitSisterChick, Cassie...

Incidentally, I liked Cassie. I thought the actress's delivery of some of the lines was so-so, but she was gorgeous and I bought the chemistry.

t /minority

...um, I also really liked Cassie's mum, actually. (And the berieved husband from the pilot episode - I thought he was fab.)

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

My mind is working on why the thing that killed their mother would come back and kill Sam's GF.

I always figured it was to keep Sam alone and detached from the rest of the world. Or something. It doesn't work well, but I cling to it like a tiny rubber floaty thing in a big, big ocean.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I just went back in time to see when I started saying, "Oh, Dean." an awful lot. It appears to have started with Dead in the Water. And then I was doomed.

Well, he's just charming, isn't he? Yes, he is. Also, his accent is making me curious about where he's spent his time (beyond what he mentions there), because half the time I'd say he's from California or something, but then there's a slight hint of something else. Or maybe I'm projecting his on-screen accent onto his normal speech. Anyway, charming. And so handsome. Goodness.
