Anya Christina Emmanuella Jenkins. Twenty years old. Born on the fourth of July — and don't think there weren't jokes about that my whole life, mister, 'cause there were. 'Who's our little patriot?' they'd say, when I was younger and therefore smaller and shorter than I am now.

Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

And that possessed woman from Crossroads.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh, and Cassie, brunette and not doomed.
Excellent.

Hmmm, Special Unit 2. Why is that title familiar?

Do you guys remember it?

They're going to be running it on Scifi starting next week.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is that the one with a police-like branch that investigates paranormal stuff (which is, to them, normal)? Sort of MIB?

Maybe -- that sounds like the promos that they're running.

So are they going through cancelled UPN series? Are they doing Haunted after that?

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

More seriously, the show does a lot with visuals, and the recurring doomed blonde theme seems to be a conscious echo of Mary's death and the start of this whole thing.

You're right, and I did notice that. But it seems like the ... gnnng, throw-away isn't quite the right word, but it's close ... anyway, the throw-away walk-on characters who are playing "1st Victim" seem to be mostly brunettes.

There are recurring doomed blonde chicks, too. But the characters where we barely know their names before the Bad Thing eats them are usually brunette.

(We just finished watching "Provenance". Once dinner has been made, we're on to the next episode, which Pete commented should make me pleased because it's about vampires.)
