A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
isn't everything though?
This is very true. I can't believe I still watch it. I know it's bad. I just want it to end.
My second favorite part of Justice (besides the hottitude and nekkidness) was NO LANA.
I can't count the number of times I have been watching an episode, and I think, "Huh, this is a pretty good episode!" And then I also realize, at the same time, that there's been no Lana. And I wonder if the two things are connected. I didn't even realize there was no Lana in "Justice" until afterward, which made it even more understandable that it was a good episode.
They haven't hit my poor woobies! button.
Hee, and for me? They've found ones I didn't even know I HAD.
I'm not sure how much of it was my migraine, and how much of it was that the episode was more thinky meat than many eps, but it was actually kind of a nice change.
Nah, it wasn't a flaily episode. Much more think than flail. Which works, as my poor heart couldn't have taken much more flail after Nightshifter. I needed a flail break.
(watching the various levels of emotion cross their faces during some scenes is AMAZING)
Totally.

Me too. I need to rewatch this ep and Hunted this weekend, because I know I missed stuff last night, but that was my head and not my flail.
OMG! there are 2 Directors' Cuts up for next week's SPN. OMG!!!
The Doctor Who soundtrack is up at iTunes! This may not be ! worthy to most people, but I'm excited.
]He asked me what it was about and I said, "Two brothers search for their father while battling the hellish forces of evil. And did I mention they're hot?"
I keep trying to explain it to people. But perhaps if you said, "Okay, so, you know how in BtVS, the metaphor was 'high school is hell?' Well, in Supernatural, it's 'family is hell.' Oh, and the boys? Hot." it might work.
That can backfire. One of the reasons I avoided the show was that pretty much every comment on my friends list was all drooliness about the actors/characters, and that read to me "actual show is crap." (I did eventually find some more interesting commentary from loligo and mely, but that made it clear that it had the sort of lame treatment of minority and female characters that would drive me nuts, so I still wasn't interested.)
A lot of the time that's the way to bet with a lot of fannish shows. But not all of them, for sure.
(I haven't had a chance today to squee about the Espenson news.)

I think it's getting a little better with regards to the women characters (this episode notwithstanding--why, exactly, did Gloria have to be wearing a bustier to hang around her slovenly apartment in Providence in January?), but the jury is still somewhat out on how they're handling minority characters.
I want better handling of those issues, but really I'm all about the family dynamic on the show. Happily, it's not a crap show, and the new commitment to consequences is a trend I hope they will continue to follow.
It's a bit embarrassing, though--I haven't been this emotionally invested in a show since the glory days of Farscape, which I had no qualms about saying was excellent tv. I have to say that I still find SPN to be very fun and entertaining tv, but not yet excellent.
Breaking SPN news....
I just determined that Eric Kripke is a cousin of my friend's husband. He's also from Toledo, and now I'm starting to wonder if Sam's GF's name is a shoutout....
Sadly, this news doesn't put me anywhere closer to having a Winchester.
