I may like the Vancouver stuff more than the Toronto stuff, actually - although I thoroughly enjoyed all the Victory Nelson books - because the vampire show cracks me up, and I find Tony a little easier to identify with than Vicky. Oh, lord - I should SO love to see them make the 'Smoke' books into a show, with Alexis Denisof playing the hot sidekick actor (who has actual acting abilities, and upon whom Tony has the mighty crush o'doom) and James Marsters playing the egocentric aging vampire detective star. Not sure who I'd cast as Tony, but...God, how much would I love that show? Very. Much. Indeed.

Just ftr, I was born in 1979, and my 'rents were married in 1968. Mom was 30 when she had me, the second child. So, it's not common, but I don't think it's completely unpossible.
