I tell you I have this theory. It goes where, you're the one who's not my sister. Cuz mom adopted you from a shoe box full of baby howler monkeys, and never told you cuz it could hurt your delicate baby feelings.

Our wings are not tired.

I had seen the clip during the Deal thing show. I had to watch because SIL is trying out for it and I promised to go to LA to be one of her people if she gets on. I thought I should see what I had signed up for. Oh my. Well, at least I'll get to see the LAistas. Anyway, the clip was quite a surprise. Excellent surprise in the midst of torture.

Art Crawl!!!

ita -- that's hilarious -- Rena Sofer has been typecast in a very odd way.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Where did you get the info about the series versdion of Bob?

Posts by Robert Wolfe and Jim Butcher on the latter's website forums.

If you're looking for more detail, Jim Butcher mentioned the hole in the back of TV!Bob's skull is from the axe blow that killed him.

Okay, found Jim's post about TV!Bob: [link]

It pretty much says everything there is to know about TV!Bob, which means there's some good-sized spoilers in it.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

In the grand tradition of Charmed, Smallville is stealing Buffy storylines. This week, we have Clark in a mental institution, doesn't really have powers, has created this alternate world for himself where he's the hero, etc.

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

To be fair to Smallville (and to SGA, which did an episode with that schtick last year), it's hardly original to Buffy. There's no shortage of shows that have done "Everything you know is wrong."

(Waves hi to Farscape. )

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I was loads behind here but skipped mercilessly because BSG's Dee just showed up on the Dark Angel repeat. How many actors does that make now? Sharon, Callie, Dee... That's off of memory just from what I have caught on recent repeat.

That Charmed episode aired before Normal Again, according to Wikipedia.

I remember people being under the same impression though, when a repeat of the Charmed episode aired a few weeks after Normal Again.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I loved "Normal Again."

I just wanted to say that.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So far, the best of those sort of episodes was the DS9 one. Far Beyond the Stars, well, and I guess Shadows and Symbols, since that's the one with the mental institution.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

As much as I love the Arms of Apollo, my BSG boyfriends remain Gaelin Tyrol and Felix Gaeta, with Karl Agathon for eye candy (Tahmoh is just too damn pretty!).

nods.

Although I do do do heart Jamie Bamber. British! And American! Simultaneously! Good job, that boy! But I love The Chief beyond the telling of it. Love. Love love love. And Gaeta! Love!

(Must say, though, that I do rather regret The Chief getting together with Cally. I don't hate it, and it's plausible and all, but it feels like her character had been a passably rounded and interesting individual, and I'd never read their relationship as romantic - just that he was The Chief and he looked after his people, damn it. And now she feels more like an adjunct to his character, and he feels a wee bit diminished. Um. But this may just be my thing.)

Meanwhile, I'm loving the spoily Heroes talk. Not quite as good as getting to see the episode, obviously, but I'm still all Yay!

Hiro is my Super Seekrit Celebrity Boyfriend. Yes.
