I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I love Claire a lot a lot A LOT. That's one resilient teenager, and not just in the obvious physical way.

I read an interview with Bryan Fuller (of WONDERFALLS, DEAD LIKE ME, etc.) who is working on HEROES now, and he said Claire has become his personal favorite character to write for.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

For the record, I want credit that I called the Hiro-in-the-museum-with-the-dinosaur.

Wait, Fuller is on HEROES? How did I miss that!?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

That was my favourite bit from the episode. I love Claire a lot a lot A LOT. That\'s one resilient teenager, and not just in the obvious physical way.

I liked the scene between Claire & the Haitian more. It really made you feel for Claire, and it showed real empathy from the Haitian.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Wait, Fuller is on HEROES? How did I miss that!?

I don't know. That's part of the reason I watched it. He's a consulting producer, and he also writes for Claire. According to him, the different writers are in charge of specific characters.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

According to him, the different writers are in charge of specific characters.
That's a brilliant strategy, I think. After all, they've obviously got their story arc planned out, and this will keep the characters' voices far more consistent than in some other shows we might mention (s2 of New Who, for one).

And yes, that was my first ep. of Heroes. I'm not sorry I didn't watch before, but I'm not sorry I started now.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I finally got around to watching BSG last night (thank you, OnDemand!). Excellent ep, but not as riveting as some of the best ones. Many little moments that I loved--Helo shooting Sharon (poor Helo!), Dee slapping Kara a bit harder than necessary, but not as hard as she could/should have, Gaeta rocking the nukes and FTL (the new EW has a pic of Baltar and Gaeta that reminded me of how much I am looking forward to Gaeta confronting Baltar in a more involved way than he did when Gaius came on board back in December), and, of course, Tyrol pistol-whipping Baltar (way to go, Chief!).

As much as I love the Arms of Apollo, my BSG boyfriends remain Gaelin Tyrol and Felix Gaeta, with Karl Agathon for eye candy (Tahmoh is just too damn pretty!).

Seriously. When she said the bit about being all alone and she teared up, I just wanted to hug her, poor noodle.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Claire would have to be careful about hiding her newly-reestablished friendship from her father. I did wonder about what Bennet would do if he found out -- he could force the Haitian to Eternal-Sunshine them again! That would be tragic.

Will her father go around having the memories of everyone who ever befriends her erased? Seems kinda problematic. I'd think she just needs to avoid revealing that she remembers her powers to keep that from happening.

When she said the bit about being all alone and she teared up

Aww man, I was watching with the 15 y.o. and when Claire said that, I heard a sharp intake of breath and I look over at my daughter and she's crying... Hayden just nailed it. That whole scene was just great.

I laughed so hard when Nathan tells Hiro to keep it down and Hiro lowers his arm to do the "flying man" thing again... I had to rewind because I missed dialog.
