A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
TV works with a much reduced set of things that cause unconsciousness (and one recovers from being knocked out cleanly and with no residual effects), so I wasn't slightly surprised.
I guess this is what bugs. I want consistency in everything fighty. Ah, well. I'll have to just roll with it.
Of course, within the text of the show we have counterexamples of how badly you feel after having the everliving tar whaled out of you with bare hands. (Even the posture is basically similar: the assailant above and the, uhhh, recipient on his back.) In the season ender of S1, Sam took 5-10 hand-blows to the face and looked like he could hardly walk, after; there was some unintentional visual comedy as Dean (the smallest of the Winchesters) aws trying to haul both his father and his brother back to the safety of the car, while both staggered against him.
You might make an exception for that instance, because the assailant was possessed by Evil; but Evil in human format seems mostly limited to the capabilities (but not the skills) of the human it possesses.

Internal consistency they had, at least within the ep. It's sad that I'm happy about that, but I am.
I mean, on the roof Dean was wailing on Gordon like whoa. And then Gordon takes Dean down with two shots?
Before Gordon took him down, I had a fleeting hope that it might turn into some cat-mouse-cat game, with Dean going after Gordon, who's going after Sam, all the while Dean would be trying to give Sam the space he apparently desperately thought he needed.
But, well, then, Dean got tied to a chair. Again. Not that I didn't enjoy the drama or y'know, TEH HOT. But I thought it might go differently.
She was from Peoria, CanIllinois.
Heh. And many actors on Due South were from Chicagoronto, Illinada.
What irritated me was Sam's vanishing facial injuries.
It was a surprise, so I waved my hands and decided it was just splashed blood on his face that he washed off. See how easy I am?
Dean's accent?
he said something last night in the car at the end when he was talking to Sam and i heard the Texan accent come out. can't remember what it was though...
Every word out of both their mouths bellows Texas, to me. It's like they both have peanut butter permanently welded to their soft palates.
The one thing that bugged me a little last night, and more so on rewatch was Gordon trying to blow Sam up in the other room, but leaving Dean unharmed. Gordon is smart enough to know he would have to kill Dean if he killed Sammy (unless he wanted to be hunted down and killed, painfully), so why not just set Dean up as the second trip wire?
Yeah, that was definitely lacking in foresight from the guy who's looking to play the long con.
