Oh, and was the guy in the makeup with that last quote... Isaac Hayes?
I don't think so - Hayes has a thicker nose and rounder features. But he did do the voice-over for Teal'c's PI show!
Oh the meta, the hilarious meta. And soft target that I am, I loved the kicking it oldschool with the original team going through the gate. Yay!

I was just looking at the circle of the gate and I was like, "Wait, how do you do that with marionettes?" And then they bore witness to my reality-o-meter!
In some ways, yay me and yay reality-o-meters. In other ways, I bet it was funnier if you didn't think about the strings in advance.
I don't suppose anybody looked at the AOL "live watching only" promo that was run during the Stargates?
Last night I thought the puppet sequence ran too long, but this morning it seemed about right....
Uh, no -- was it a promo for the Stargates? Or a promo for BSG?
It was a Stargates thingie -- it was some extra scene or something that was only available on AOL during the showing, with a password they flashed briefly on the screen.
I'm sure YouTube, et al, will be showing it eventually.... :0)
...so I have now seen an episode of Eureka and one of The 4400.
Except that actually I just got to listen to them both, because there was no picture on the telly.
It was quite odd, sitting in a guesthouse in Heathrow and listening to dialogue and thinking 'hey, that chap is a friend of ita's! And he was on B.org the other day!' and only having a voice.
Sounded v. watchable, though.
