No studying? Damn! Next thing they'll tell me is I'll have to eat jelly doughnuts or sleep with a supermodel to get things done around here. I ask you, how much can one man give?

I don't think I even would have noticed if it weren't Fitchburg. I mean, Madison and Fitchburg butt right up against each other and they're constantly trying to annex pieces of each other. It's not as if Fitchburg can't keep growing to the south, but there are prime little bits on the border between the two cities that they each want. And, of course, none of the locations in the episode were actually in Fitchburg. Still, it was kinda fun having an episode supposedly set there.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Wait, wait, wait, how do you misspell Fitchburg? It's not like we are talking about Kyrgyzstan or something.

Art Crawl!!!

I think that there was a new promo for Heroes during the FNL mini-marathon on NBC tonight. Did anyone else see it?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Well, I spent the whole episode wondering if the southern tendency to elide whole syllables was at play in my remembering the disappearing colony--in my state!--as Croatan, and not Croatoan.

No, dammit, I was right.

Jen, right there with you. I still miss Nine. I've come to think fondly of Ten, but he's not my Doctor.

Bev, Wikipedia gives me one spelling for the tribe, and the episode spelling for the word on the tree (and the island).

Ann, that's a ferret.

It's not like we are talking about Kyrgyzstan or something.

Or even Mukwonago.

They misspelled it as Fitchberg on the city limits sign. Yeah, whoda thunk it?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I liked "Runaway Bride" as well!

But I bring you more BSG comics. Very amusing.

Huh, Plei, you're totally right! I'd either never heard of that spelling, or had glossed over it.

Bev, did I mention I only know this because I have to google the spelling four times out of five when talking about the ep?

Man, Paul and I watched Salvation and Devil's Trap last night, putting him in the state of Caught Up on S1, and putting me back into the state of Acute Dean Flailing.

That final two parter is just so full of good character notes for all three of them (oh, the sheer joy Dean takes in pretty girls and other moments of fleeting and impermanent pleasure), and damn, Devil's Trap is just as tense as remembered. There remains no scarier thing than Old Marble Eyes in John's body. Watching and knowing how IMToD plays out was just painful, in the good way, because it's all there, and damn, now I'm back to flailing about John, and at some point, I'm going to start flailing about Sam again, and... gah! Winchesters!
