Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Well, I went back and read the posts in the last thread. Am, like many of you all were back in July, broken. ::sniff:: Held it together by force of will while watching, as I was not watching alone. Am now sniffly as Hell. I mean, they seeded it with Sarah Jane, but, still. ::Big sniff:: I guess the Face of Bo is going to be a longer-term thing. Loved the final Bad Wolf callback.

On a lighter note, my brother and I are going to play "Exterminate", "Delete" on Christmas Eve: confuse the Hell out of the relatives, plus, fun!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I miss having lots of discussion after episodes air. It seems a little pointless to look up months-old posts of those who ahemmed.

It was sad. I was a mess, actually. Glad everybody else in my house was in bed so no mocking of me, crying at the tv.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Yeah, I did my blubbering when I got home, got the Internets, and indulged in some poking of the bruises (we on the Internets are really good at that). I am now up because I can finally write the fic I've had in the hutch for...oh, 6 months.

Also, "Put her in the fucking TARDIS. You idiot."

I'd love to see if there were other cuts of the last scene, or if they knew exactly which way to go on each decision.

I'm thinking I may have to ahem the new Christmas special. I don't know, though. I'm...torn. Because, unlike last year, nsm organic with the "hey, look what's coming!" and, thus, more jarring.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Wah! *sniff* I actually ahemmed this several weeks ago, and did my crying then, but that turned out to be a bad decision, because none of the friends I had been watching with were up-to-date with the ahemming, and thus I was all alone in my misery. On the other hand, though, I'm now sufficiently recovered to feel like I can watch the new Christmas special now without feeling emotional whiplash. I needed some time to grieve.

I just really loved Rose, and it's going to be hard for me to watch the new episodes and not wish she were still there. I mean, I totally understand why the character had to go, and I expect I'll like the new Companion a lot, but it's just not going to be the same show for me without Piper OR Eccleston. (All you longtime Who fans probably see it differently, since the revolving cast of Companions and Doctors is kind of integral to the show's whole concept, but... I'm not used to it! I want them to stick around and be together forever! Or at least for another season or two.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Are you guys talking about a 2006 Christmas special? Why can I not find it?

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

Okay, cool.

I hope it'll still be well seeded when I get back from vacation.

The evil is this way?

Doctor Who broke me. If Billie Piper ever wants to come back, I'm sure they'll figure out a way to make that happen.

it'll probably be better because everyone and their brother won't be trying to get it, ita.

i'm really going to miss her.

The evil is this way?

I am having total fangeek moments about rose being gone. Like if the BBC had a Bronze-style posting board I would totally post:

BRING ANGLE ROSE BACK OR WE WIL STOP WACHING!!!!

And then I would mock myself.
