I've managed to miss Heroes completely this season (missed the first two eps and decided not to jump in mid-arc), but SciFi is running the first six eps tonight (from 6-midnight, Eastern time), so I think I'm going to tune in and get (mostly) caught up on the show.

I'm betting the show works like gangbusters in large consecutive doses.

Well, I caught the first five eps, and am currently taping the sixth (I spent the first half of talking to my sister, so figured I'd just tape and watch it later). Things I've learned so far:

  • waking up in mid-autopsy is one of the freakiest things I could imagine
  • Hiro and his English-speaking buddy are the cutest couple on TV
  • English-speaking Future!Hiro (complete with sword) is sex-ay
  • I'm already tired of the leech Hero and his politician brother--I hope that changes soon
  • Mohinder = TEH HOTT!!!

I don't mind if a ton of folks watch it and it's popular. Kinda sucks when you have a shiney cool show and they don't advertise it and cancel it after one season... but we wouldn't know anything about that on this board.

I know -- isn't it odd to have a fun arcy show be one of the top new shows on a major network?

Just imagine, next season, the other networks are all going to try to imitate it.
