Well, I caught the first five eps, and am currently taping the sixth (I spent the first half of talking to my sister, so figured I'd just tape and watch it later). Things I've learned so far:
- waking up in mid-autopsy is one of the freakiest things I could imagine
- Hiro and his English-speaking buddy are the cutest couple on TV
- English-speaking Future!Hiro (complete with sword) is sex-ay
- I'm already tired of the leech Hero and his politician brother--I hope that changes soon
- Mohinder = TEH HOTT!!!

I don't mind if a ton of folks watch it and it's popular. Kinda sucks when you have a shiney cool show and they don't advertise it and cancel it after one season... but we wouldn't know anything about that on this board.

They already did this year because of LOST, 24 and PRISON BREAK, among others, and they mostly tanked (and LOST itself has been diving in the ratings). HEROES was one of the few (the only?) to catch on, possibly because the premise is dead simple to pick up - superheroes walk among us and many of them don't know it - and it also has loads of expansion potential (as opposed to shows based on a single incident like THE NINE or the two kidnapping shows).
