You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

The other question I have is what triggered the mutation's effects? These people are all different ages. What has happened that their mutations/powers have suddenly manifested themselves at the same time?

I was thinking about this. Claire must have manifested something (if not quick healing) back when she was an infant. What if the whole point of Daddy's search (at least in his mind) is simply to find Claire's real parents?

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

The premiere of the show.

Hahaha. Smartass.

Vortex, I don't think we have been given any explanation as to why the powers are manifesting *now*. The ponderous intro in the pilot said... lemme see...

"In recent days, a seemingly random group of individuals has emerged with what can only be described as 'special' abilities. Although unaware of it now, these individuals will not only save the world, but change it forever. This transformation from ordinary to extraordinary will not occur overnight."

It *is* a little sloppy. Maybe they'll explain further as to why this is happening right now later, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yes, LisaH. Continuously number one on MTV's Top Ten videos until they decided to retire videos. It was weeks, I think.

It's so funny but I don't remember EVER hearing the song before we started rehearsing it. I really hated the hair metal back then but it should have been on my radar somehow. I was a pretty pop culturally aware kid. Maybe it came out when I was in college, though, and away from the MTV.

And now it is in my head (and my heart!) forever.

But then why did he do the fake parent thing?

To get Claire off his back. I don't think he wants Claire to meet them. I think that he wants to meet them. There's also the question of who's bankrolling him. Lindermann? That might explain why it was so easy for Daddy to get into the hotel to grab Nathan.
