Woe to the fucking wicked.

Yeah, I saw that.

I am on mountain time! Fear my frakked-up tv schedule! Local feed is same airtime as Central (late local news at 10). National feeds are Eastern (TDS at 9). These rules, however, are not always true. For this...is Mountain Time!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

The same thing happened to me, Debetesse, only with the Scrubs rerun and not the Daily Show. Did NeighborSpyChick say anything other than that she was a fan?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Shaw created his first play (Widowers Houses) in collaboration with another William Archer, who provided the plot. [Wait! It's relevant!].

After a week, Shaw mailed his partner "I've finished the first act, and have not yet begun your plot". A second letter said "I've now finished the second act, and have used up your plot. Please send more." Nobody ever collaborated with Shaw again.

And it is way past friggin time for Heroes to move to Shaw's second stage. Enough setup already!

The connection [DW-TW] is enjoyable, IMO, rather than necessary.

I agree completely, WindSparrow. And I'm intrigued enough to wonder how things (like the Doctor's hand in a bottle ) will play out. I would love them to get a Tennant cameo at some point, though I doubt that will happen, actually.

Re TW episode 3: Captain Jack can teach me to shoot anytime, thankyouverymuch. And I'm loving Gwen more and more, although she has proved that she's not immune to Torchwood-Syndrome (illicit use of alien technology for your own ends) .

I rewatched Ep1 the other night, and caught something I'd missed before - when Jack tells Gwen about the amnesia pill, he mentions "a dash of retcon". One for the fans....

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

See, I think Claire's dad isn't evil. I may be basing this entirely on his expression after Nathan Petrelli's sonic boom though.

Yeah, good or evil, he genuinely seems to think these super powers are cool, so he's not all bad. He's kind of like a sinister Hiro. (:

I'm also in the "not evil" or "not completely evil camp. Sure, he's spying on people and kidnapping them, but he's yet to actually kill any one. Doesn't mean he doesn't have an agenda, though. Note: the RNA symbol that's been popping up in various scenes, particularly as Niki's tatoo. I wonder if he's tagging them, and if the reason they didn't take Niki before is that they already had her.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Yeah, good or evil, he genuinely seems to think these super powers are cool, so he's not all bad.

Yeah, that was one of my favorite moments when he hears about Hiro's abilities and goes "That's cool!" in a total fanboy voice.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I suspect that Claire's dad's agenda will conflict in some way with the "Save the cheerleader, save the world" manifesto, and that he will have to choose.

Art Crawl!!!

BTW, did anyone notice the wax lion in last night's episode of Heroes? I didn't but several people have mentioned seeing it over at TWOP. I don't even know what scene it was in.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

I didn't notice any smoosh-face lion last night. Although, I have to admit that I drifted away a couple of times last night, which is the first time that an episode of Heroes has failed to hold my attention for the whole hour. I'm chalking it up to a severe lack of pretty man screen time. I've never been a huge fan of Leonard Roberts (although he does have a smokin' body). Not enough Peter and Isaac and Mohinder. And definitely not enough Nathan. I am mostly annoyed by the Niki storyline because I think it's been the most predictable thus far.

I do have to give it up, though, for "It's how we roll." I will be laughing about that for days. I know some people are tired of the Hiro-n-Ando Comedy Break, but I would watch an hour of just the two of them driving around in their Nissan Versa.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Torchwood: Yeah, I am totally loving Gwen. I also love her boyfriend, and I hope he sticks around for a while before the (inevitable) breakup, maybe even meets some of her coworkers. I'm digging Gwen's tension with Jack as well, although I don't know if they're being set up to fall in love or not (I hope not, though it could be done well enough to convince me). Regardless, the scene at the firing range was ridiculously hot.

One thing about Gwen: In both the pilot and the last episode, she completely freaks out when confronted with death and/or physical violence. In the pilot, when Suzie is threatening to shoot her, Gwen loses her shit and starts sobbing and shaking and babbling. In ep. 3, when the dude (I forget his name) walks into the knife that she's holding and dies bloodily, she once again flips out like crazy, with the sobbing and the shaking; it's way more extreme than I'm used to seeing on TV. Anyone else notice that?

I'm not saying she's overreacting -- I mean, I hardly think I would be any more calm if the same thing happened to me -- but I think TV characters usually tend to keep it together a little more. I like it as an acting choice, though it's uncomfortable to watch, because it reminds us that Gwen really isn't very familiar with violence, despite being a police officer. It'll be interesting to watch Torchwood toughen her up.

Yeah, that was one of my favorite moments when he hears about Hiro's abilities and goes "That's cool!" in a total fanboy voice.

Hee! That was my favorite moment too. I also thought the scene with Hiro and Ando* in the bathroom, listening to ikiN slaughter the dudes outside, was really effective and creepy, plus it served to demonstrate (as if the dismembered bodies weren't enough) how totally scary ikiN is.

*My other favorite line of the episode: "That is how we roll!" eta: x-post with kat!
