Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Okay. Maybe that's where I got the "I've seen him before" thing. He was the unholy psychic lovechild of Frodo and Will Tippin.
I wonder how long it would take me to find that in fic form...
SPN frustrates me, because I have Deep Thoughts on it that REFUSE to get past the Firewall of Flail.
Like, I keep trying to articulate the use of misdirection and creepification with the blonde and the bathrobe and Andy, and how I think we *were* supposed to initially be skeeved and creeped by it, and then to doubt that Andy was using his mind tricks for the seduction aspect of it, but then I get caught up in Dean's complete dorktastic love of the bong, and I just fall straight back into shallow.
no BSG watch and post tonight? huh.
they better be glad they didn't airlock Gaeta. Kara is nice and angsty, isn't she? i really liked the scene between she and Anders with her telling him to leave her alone before she did something she regretted.
I was yelling at the screen "That is SO WRONG!" during Baltar's (obvious) dream, when Laura went to kiss him. Then I giggled at Adama's telling Lee to keep on skipping rope. Then I was relieved when Kara got Felix's secret out and he still managed to keep his oh-so-precious dignity (and I was pissed with her when she passed sentence on him without one word about his cafeteria confession!).
Gods, I love this ep. It's just so juicy.
Because, remember last season when the Pegasus showed up and the two crews were all shocked at how each other was acting because neither could comprehend what the other group had been through?
It's gonna be like that all fracking year. And it's gonna be between all of our people.
I can't wait. I really can't.
I agree, although I'm back on the Starbuck-sucks train. The great Scottish punk band McLusky had an album called My Pain and Sadness is More Sad and Painful Than Yours, and I always think of that title when Starbuck starts using her own suffering as a trump card for her behavior. A little of that goes a long way.
To call back The Office for a second, I always think "Gareth Keenan Investigates!" when I see that Boston Rob show coming on Sci Fi.
I was so happy they didn't kill off Gaeta--after the way they killed Jammer, I was very much worried about Gaeta.
Chief, oh Chief broke my heart. So messed up, with trying to do the right thing, and oh, how easily could he have been Jammer? Pretty easily, I suspect.
My Pain and Sadness is More Sad and Painful Than Yours
I always like the line from Borderlands:
"We're tragic romantic figures. We're so much cooler than you."
That's like my single favorite title of all time.
Watching the end of series two of Doctor Who on UKTV, and man,
I totally forgot how freaking heart-wrenching it is to watch Rose break down when she believes she'll never see the doctor again. It kills, man. Just kills.
Also, Mickey
totally went back to be with his boyfriend. What up, Russell. We know what you were thinking.
The watermark in the corner of the screen informs me that it's "Doctor Who Week." Now, if only the week would end in a new episode of Who! I really want
to know what is up with that crazy bride.
I don't know if this week's DW on SciFi was a rerun or not, but I really enjoyed it. I was hoping to get some DW talk last night, but no one seemed to be around. I feel so alooooonnnnne!
