My Pain and Sadness is More Sad and Painful Than Yours
I always like the line from Borderlands:
"We're tragic romantic figures. We're so much cooler than you."

That's like my single favorite title of all time.
Watching the end of series two of Doctor Who on UKTV, and man, I totally forgot how freaking heart-wrenching it is to watch Rose break down when she believes she'll never see the doctor again. It kills, man. Just kills.
Also, Mickey totally went back to be with his boyfriend. What up, Russell. We know what you were thinking.
The watermark in the corner of the screen informs me that it's "Doctor Who Week." Now, if only the week would end in a new episode of Who! I really want to know what is up with that crazy bride.
I don't know if this week's DW on SciFi was a rerun or not, but I really enjoyed it. I was hoping to get some DW talk last night, but no one seemed to be around. I feel so alooooonnnnne!
I got home late. Not sure what I can say until part 2. It interesting that Rose's dad has twice now felt his connection to her, while Jackie doesn't.
Can Mickey just go away now?

Very interesting to me, because I've seen maybe 3 full episodes. When did she meet her dad before? And Jackie? I'm sure glad she didn't have a human Rose in this universe. I wanted to smack her something fierce.
I remember how nice Jackie was until Rose commented on what a nice bloke her (soon to be ex) was - then went over the top.
I though the sudden transition from having to a nice chat to "how dare you talk to me" was a sudden reaction that she was feeling a connection where not connection ought to be. (Plus stirring up feelings that breaking up with "Mr. Trust Me on This", might not be the right thing to do - which she already had and did NOT want to have deal with.)
Note that Rose's dad did the same thing more gently and politely - when he realized how personal he'd let the conversation get, and how close he felt to Rose, he broke it off abruptly and tried to ignore her.
Time Travel Episode. Which half-way through typing, I realized the dumbness of saying, but I'm going to leave it. They went back in time, and Rose saved her father from being hit by a car, causing a rift in time.
Ah missed that one. But in the Dickens of a Ghost story episode didn't the Doctor say that you can change the past? Anything can happen. No paradox problem, which is what makes time travel so deadly - kill your GrandDad, and you never get born - and the world gets by nicely without you. Or your civilization if that is what you wipe now. So that has changed; they've decide changing the past can now cost time rifts.

I seem to recall hearing something about Rose's father dying when she was very young? So, maybe her going back in time is what has created this new universe? With a British President and all the ear buds and stuff?
