I hope you don't think that I just come over for the spells and everything. I mean, I really like just talking and hanging out with you and stuff.

Well I remember with the cop, Evil!Dad was surprised by how far along his mind reading was. In this case, I'm not predicting - I would totally like to see super-conspiracy turn out to be a small number of not very smart guys.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

It's possible that the stress of the situation pushed him to a higher level of performance than he'd previously exhibited.

I'm willing to buy this, especially considering his less than graceful landing.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

And also, Hiro might well be one of those people who are too self-conscious to put forth the effort to speak a foreign language. Under pressure, he may indeed speak better English. Relax him, and let him worry about how he's going to sound and his performance would be much less masterful. (Something about how imminent execution concentrates the will most wonderfully, I suppose.)

I hadn't considered that, but it makes sense. It also fits with a certain Japanese sense of propriety.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Okay, so I saw the unaired pilot "Heroes" and the big thing that was missing from it and the aired pilot is that the artist did not "OD" in the pilot. He cut off his HAND and nearly bled out. His girlfriend came and took him to the hospital.

That was pretty startling and amazing. I liked that version of the pilot more.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Also, theres the whole bit about how Hiro's pal was going to coach him with phonetic pronunciations.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

You know, I don't think I've ever seen the aired version of the pilot. I think it was a really busy night, and I decided to skip it and just join up with ep2.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

see! that's what i thought happened and was all confused about how they reattached without getting him to the hospital when i watched the second ep.

I never got around to watching the aired pilot either.

Another difference in the aired pilot is he never shows Simone the painting he did of her leaving him. Instead, we see a painting of the train derailment/fire that Claire walks through to use as a transition to that scene.

You can see that Simone painting in the last episode, though, which is cool.
