Where'd they get CAT scan from?... I mean, did they test it on cats? Or does the machine sort of look like a cat?

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I thought it was dumb, Betsy. But I don't like The Chin outside of Brisco County Jr.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Exactly. And I swear I've seen vampires take random center mass shots nowhere near the heart that resulted in them exploding.

Oh definitely, but I think it's only supposed to happen if they get stabbed in the heart or brain or get decapitated. I've just assumed that the same thing is in effect as John Wayne firing one bullet and seven Indians dropping off their horses.

Dudes -- Jack of All Trades is out on DVD. Should it be in my Netflix queue?

No. It was sadly not especially good. I mean, the show that aired with it was more enjoyable, and that was C:2525.

Of course, C:2525 had Gina Torres, but still.

Do not listen to Plei on C2525. That was horrible. Sure, it had Gina Torres, but the other two women were varying shades of painful.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So, I just purchases ST:TOS season one on DVD. The other day I watched "The Menagerie" and was constantly distracted by one thing. Does anyone else think that Captain Pike looks like Hec? [link]

New thread! The shields are down to 20 percent power.

One of the many things I liked about Firefly was that they weren't blathering about getting more power to the shields. I'm sad that that particular plot point has become more prevalent on the SGs.

Says the woman who watched Mutant X religiously.

Isn't that because...they didn't have shields? Heh.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Oh, God, me too.
