You'll fight, and you'll shag, and you'll hate each other till it makes you quiver, but you'll never be friends.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I read something that implied the music was different in the BBCA versions. With the cuts, I ahemmed but haven't watched it all yet.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

The reactions I've seen to the cut versions on BBCA have been very near hysterical, and looking at the lists of cuts, I can see why.

I watched the first episode, and liked it, but I figure after increasing my Spooks love, to try and stick to the unsnipped.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I read something that implied the music was different in the BBCA versions.

Huh. I guess it wouldn't surprise me, but it's still a very impressive soundtrack.

The reversioning, however, is quite definitely of the suck. It's a good show regardless, but I really should get off my arse and find the UK versions.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I actually haven't seen the snipped BBCA version, but for reason, I'm more upset about change in the songs (apparently, they couldn't afford the licensing fees for some of the better-known songs for the airing on stateside, so several songs were switched/substituted with something else) than the cuts in the episodes themselves. I think it's because the music is such a vital part of the show and so seamlessly integrated in the unedited version.

I may TiVo the marathon on Sunday and see how much they are changed. Hmmm.

Okay, now I *really* have to see the UK versions, because, dayum. The BBCA soundtrack rocks my world, and I'd been boggling over their ability to afford it. If there's more, I must have it.

I thought I read somewhere that the On Demand version is the complete BBC one, not the cutup version shown on BBCA. I'll have to look at the run time when I get home to be sure, though.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Kathy, if you would record that and any others, I would love you for it.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

part of the ongoing arc is Sam trying to go home.

I haven't seen the show, but reading that I wonder if the Quantum Leap allusion was intentional. (White-fonted because it partially references the white-fonted part of the initial post.)

Sure! I'm also taping ShakespeaRe-told, if you're interested in borrowing that after the last one is broadcast (in two weeks).
