I got irritable this episode. I usually like Suresh, but his scenes with the lesser Petrelli really made me twitch. I was also bored with the artist. I don't need more detail about what he does, since what he does was perfectly clear to me.
In comparison, I'm not all that much clearer about Niki, and what reflections have to do with anything. I'm going with psychotic break, myself. I also hate the premature aging of the child of a single-parent family. It creeps me out.
On the other hand, I do likes me some Claire, and although I'm not sure how she's going to walk away scott free from what she just did, she's pleasantly thinky about the whole thing.
I also like Nathan. Well, enjoy him, I guess. He's not likable.

I haven't made up my mind on Claire yet, but she won my sympathy for a good long shot, between the last two episodes. I'm not sure I'm crazy about the acting. I don't know.

Precisely. And with a little bit more acceptance/motivation on his part, they might be able to make something happen. It's like the writers are balking at the proof part--it's okay that we know, but not okay that anyone other than, what, Hiro's friend and the bad guys know.

Me too. The whole conspiracy thing is the yawn factor for me. Luckily, it's been minimal, and I'm beginning to suspect that I may be right and creepy!Dad and friends' intentions may be less sinister than they appear (given that it's been proven that normal cops can't handle Sylar without serious risk).

Yeah, what do you think the writers were trying to reference there--the principle that theories have to be falsifiable, or what? It was like they'd skimmed something in research, and completely mistook it, but I couldn't decide what they'd skimmed.

It was VERY much like that. Like they'd read something and gotten some sort of GIST, but not actually understood the PRINCIPLE. I mean, I guess they were referring to the fact that a hypothesis, like you said, must be
testable,
which means it can either pass or fail. But that's the point. The point is
not
that you
assume
it's going to
fail
and GAH.
I mean, yes, if you get the answer you're looking for, do you say, "Hurrah!"? Yes, you do.
And then you test it again.
You're "skeptical" in the sense that you verify your results (you always have three of everything), but the way Mohinder was...GAH.
I mean, at least Eden was a voice of reason. GOD, MOHINDER. Like you said, Cindy: he's Nathan's frelling BROTHER. And you believe these powers are GENETIC.
That's the thing. Peter is Nathan's brother. If any other random dude showed up at the apartment looking for Chandra Suresh, book in hand, I could understand Mohinder's skepticism. But he'd just been chasing down Nathan, and Nathan did visibly react to him. So his skepticism was just DUMB.

Why not? On Charmed (okay, admittedly not the best example, but bear with me), Piper could only stop time within the room she was in, the rest of the world went on spinning.

oooh! I envision a scene like that one in Smallville with the two guys that could manipulate people by touching them (like, say, a handshake), gripping hands and trying to be stronger than the other.
