Double greens means exactly what you thought.
A script starts white, then blue, pink, yellow, and green (on our show). But the colors only begin when the shooting draft is issued (prior to which it's just white), and they go in a cycle. So when you're shooting triple yellows....yeah....
The shooting script goes out to the director for prep - usually 7 days before he/she starts. By the end of the 13eps, the directors were getting 4 days prep.
"sides" are the script pages that will be shot that day. They are printed on small pages and the cast and crew all have them in their pockets - unless you're an actress in which case you don't get pockets.
Sides are never coallated. We had FOUR colors in our sides on day. That's a comical first for me. I wanted to keep it and frame it.

So not only could they not get someone who was actually blond to play Oliver Queen, they apparently got someone who couldn't act. His scene with Lionel was particular painful because of the huge and incredibly obvious acting gulf.
And what the hell is up with Ollie ordering people kidnapped and interogated?
I realize this is a Superman problem in general, but it didn't really occur to me until I saw the "super breath intake" special effects, how exactly do people breathe when Clark does that in an enclosed space? One would think that would cause a serious drop in air pressure until he finished exhaling.

Thought it was an okay episode. Good to see Alona Tal getting work. I was so expecting to hear "blessed crossbow bolt" instead of brass knife when they were discussing how to kill the Raksasha, though I guess the latter was a little easier to come by and wikipedia doesn't mention any way of killing mythological raksashas, so I guess it's as good an idea as any.
The exchange sumi quoted was hilarious.

I too would love a podcast for the pilot. I doubt you'd get any objections. I personally think the podcasts nearly double the entertainment value of the episodes. (And certainly gives me a good excuse to watch the episodes a couple more times.) I would definitely donate to the beer fund if I could figure a way to send it.
