Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"Would you mind not farting while I'm saving the world?" - Doctor Who

Yep, that's it.

There are a few continuity issues that pop up due to editing. The podcasts talk about a number of them.

Overall I've found that watching them in episode order resolves the continuity issues with Jo and Carter's working relationship and with Zoe adjusting to life in Eureka with her dad.

It does cause some funny twitches though in the the Nathan/Allison/Jack triangle and in Henry's decision to leave. There was some extended dialogue between he and Jack that got cut about why he stuck around for the Lisa Mitner dance.

I think the best episode pairing that this fixes is "Invincible" and "Purple Haze". We go straight from Carlson's encounter with the artifact to Stark obsessing over it. It gives a lot more urgency to his need to know and accelerates us towards the climax of the finale.

I'd love to see a "director's cut" of the season on DVD. My second choice, if they can't do that, would be for it to be jam-packed with deleted scenes and alternate takes.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

watching again, and *sigh* I just love the feeling I was left with, the soft hope.

Also, Salli really delivered on the emotion, the not wanting to fix the paradox, and Joe made me cry again when fighting with Carter, the building shakes, and he knows that Kim is dead and howls.

*heart breaks*

An interesting article on BSG and religion.

"Would you mind not farting while I'm saving the world?" - Doctor Who

It's interesting that religion would play heavily in the new BSG. I seem to recall something about elements of the original series being based on Mormon doctrine.

I meant it as less spellchecker, more educator. Cause Lise deserves better than she got.

Great entry. Thanks for linking. It's always fascinating to read about unsung heroes.

Now tagless for your comfort.

The Futon Critic is carrying the Eureka pick up story. Yay for season 2!

Now I need to track down the last five minutes of the last episode. I had to record the midnight showing so DH could watch The Unit and Sci-fi boogered up the showing.
