Yay for season 2! Yay for darker!
How could Carter keep from making decisions in the future based on what he knows? He would have to be creating little rifts in the timeline all the time.
I'm sad that Kim is dead and that we didn't get more episodes with her when she was alive. Where was she when Henry was considering leaving Eureka? Was she involved in the decision at all? Was she going to go with him or stay in Eureka?
I want to know how AU Zoe could have been at the top of her class. Does she have hidden genius that we don't know of yet?
Yay for next season.
I laughed when I saw that CISCO was running The Consortium
I remembered seeing the logo on Stark's computer in one of the earlier episodes. So, who's desk was it? Stark's? Fargo's? Allison's?
but ubersuperior conspiracies lurking the background, always able to magically escape discovery/justice, annoy me these days.
Yeah, I was half expecting them to pull back to reveal Claire's father from Heroes was the one talking to Beverly. (Speaking of which, how great would it have been to have had Hiro show up after one of the paradox quakes, just walking through the background with a silly grin on his face?)
Yes, indeedy! I think we would have liked
Eureka
just as much, but sharing your experience and insight sure heightened the fun for me.
We should patent this. Call it a threadcast™ or somethin'.
The Beverly subplot was a bit moustache-twirly for me. I also like knowing more about how and what the bad guys are doing, and having the suspense be about if they succeed or not, not about what they want and who they are.
He would have to be creating little rifts in the timeline all the time.
It's a good thing they have months to sift their options on what the ramifications are. I think a fading memory works well, or the fact that whatever Henry didn't get to do now kinda renders most of Jack's memories moot.
So what happened to Nathan in the accident? He was only standing a few feet away from Kim, and she was fried to a crisp and fused to a piece of metal.
Grievously injured, but with Eureka-tech they were able to fix everything but his hair follicles.
I'm sad that Kim is dead and that we didn't get more episodes with her when she was alive.
I too wish we could have had more episodes with Kim. I had high hopes of seeing her in Season 2. On the other hand... it is SciFi... and we've already had people come back from the dead once. And considering they have a form to undead someone, it must happen at least with some regularity.
I hope Carter does get to keep his memories, because having 4 more years of experience in Eureka than anyone knows about would make for some really interesting dynamics, especially since some of what he thinks he knows about people may not apply in the current timeline. (Too much of that could get old fast, and would confuse the hell out of new viewers, but it's too twisted a setup not to play with.)
The first thing I noticed about the episode is that SARAH's voice changed in the future. That made me laugh.
So what happened to Nathan in the accident?
My handwave is that she was directly in front of the tube, so it was a directed blast and he just got singed.
He was alive in the alternate timeline, but that was when Henry was able to stop the explosion (I assume) to save Kim. Stark could be seriously injured, but that seems problematic since Allison was in a chipper, flirty mood at the end.
Thing is, Henry maneuvered for Stark's position after Stark got Kim blown up so Henry would have access to the thingy. What's to stop him from doing it again, but this time going back and kidnapping Kim the day before or something? Does Stark get fired again for cutting corners? If not, why not?
Yay for getting a season 2!
