A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Beerial!!
I'll give it a shot.
My fellow SciFi fan/co-worker just stopped by my desk and asked if I caught last night's Eureka--he's a big fan, and is really hoping it gets picked up for another season. Oh, and he handed Colin a big compliment by saying how Carter "really anchors the show."

Beerios? Captain Morgan Crunch? Cream of Sam Adams' Wheat?
Beerial!!
I'll give it a shot.
what have I done?!
(I totally knew what you meant, Bev. I get you!)
I'll give it a shot.
It's a crunchy boilermaker in a bowl!
Finally saw this week's Eureka. I'm sure Colin is sick of hearing how great he is, so I won't bore you with that bit.
Note to self: When slapping the cushion next to you as an outlet for the hilarity of the Lupo/Taggart kissage, please check that crafting supplies such as needles and pins are not on the cushion.
Note to People in Charge of the Story: There had better be some real damn good reason for Taggart's crappy fake accent, because it is severely annoying. I really, really, really LIKE Matt Frewer. I like Eureka very much. Logically, I should expect to enjoy his performance in this show. And yet, I'm cringing whenever Matt Frewer opens his mouth. This, in my book, is very wrong. Please to do something about this. Soon. And yes, I'm going to keep pointing this out as long as it bothers me.
Blinks.
Merciful Heavens, I hope they don't fix the crappy fake Aussie accent by explaining that "Taggart"'s real accent is, say, German, or Russian, or Japanese....
Shudders.
Meanwhile, I thought we had come to the conclusion that the medicine on House, M.D. is so ... unreliable... as to qualify as science fiction, and therefore the show qualified for discussion here.
Another real-world nitpick on Eureka: When Jack was out sick and Jo was off playing paintball, who was left to guard the town? I sure hope there is at least one more deputy we have not met yet. Maybe also Global Dynamics corporate security people. I know the cast needed to be limited for the first season, but I hope it can expand for the second. And I do really want to see more of these characters.
I liked the episode, but I'm... bugged... by the indifference to the pizza guy death.
I saw no indifference. They all acted like very smart people who suddenly knew this was serious. None of the characters are the panicy type. It seems to me that when you are in a situation where you are aware that your mortality quotient just went up and you are suddenly sealed off from each other, you aren't going to focus on the death of someone you barely know. You are going to think about yourself first, then those around you.
It's not that they were indifferent, the characters just not the kind to be overly demonstrative when under their own threats.
As for nitpicks, the skylight seemed to have sunlight coming down from the right side of the ladder, but the climbing was done on the dark side. I hope Jack didn't hit his head. S.A.R.A.H. would have to take care of him...
