These girls have the most beautiful dresses. And so do I -- how about that?

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I really really REALLY liked HEROES. More thoughts tomorrow.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Hmm. Despite (or perhaps because of?) my being a 30-year comic book fan, it left me cold. Ah well, one more free hour a week.

Art Crawl!!!

I did too!

There is some whitefonted Heroes talk in Natter. (I thought we were going to discuss here but no -- it's all in Natter.)

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I think we're all confused because it's on a major network.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I liked what I saw. It did suffer some from introducing too many characters in too little time, and I'm not sure if the whole coincidences thing, a la Lost, is going to be annoying yet, but I'll watch it again. I did like Hiro a lot.

Art Crawl!!!

Yes, I thought that the slow start was because of the number of characters and they haven't even introduced everyone. (I was wondering where Greg Grunberg went.)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I was underwhelmed by the screener, except for Hiro, and for a twist I really didn't see coming at the end.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

They fucked up the ending twist in the broadcast version by extending it a few seconds and adding an unnecessary cliffhanger. Grr.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I really liked the twist. I still hate Milo Venwhateverlia, he needs to shower and get a haircut.

But it was a two hour pilot that got chopped right? And Grunberg got sent to the back half for time - so that might explain some of the pacing isseus I had. But I liked it.

And I love that idea.

Loved the Japanese guy. He's my new hero.

I wanted more wide angles though. Wide angles of the plains with one small person in some corner. Alright, I wanted a superman homage. Fine, I said it. But I still wanted some better visual for one small person against the world. Alone. Maybe it's a comic book thing.

It better perform. Word is they're a million over on EVERY episode so far. 5 deep or so.
