If every vampire who said he was at the crucifixion was actually there, it would have been like Woodstock.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Rumor has it that the UK will be getting the final run of SG-1 episodes starting in November or December.

AUGH. Atlantis too?

I suspect so, Dana. It's what happened last year, except it wasn't as much of a problem since the US run started up again in... January? I forget.

We got the #2 itune TV downlaod spot!! Yay!

And it's for Purple Haze which I loved. So that's not such a bad thing. And we're three of the top ten - which I actually can't wrap my head around just yet - but I understand it's good.

Two eps left. And the execs want the pick up soon so they can start writing and getting a writing staff together. We're all gearing up and I think we have a bettter idea what the show is and what we're good at as a show. It feels like we're all on the same page, so that feels great.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Will John write again, you think?

And when should you start filming?

Colin- Assuming Eureka were to get a pickup, do you have any idea if it is planned for 13 or 20 episodes? Or is that something that is determined at the time of the pickup? I think I heard something in the podcast saying something about 20 episodes. I think nearly all of us here would love there to be lots more episodes!

CFerg - Sep 22, 2006 2:55:25 pm PDT #1635 of 10001

Hey amlai, from what I gather, there is rumor of the pick up being about 16. They don't want to only do 12 and have people feeling like it's a half show but are wary about jumping to 22 after the BSG season 2 experience. I gather that was a hard year.

So far these are just rumors and who knows what will be left on the table at the end of it all, but that's what I'm hearing.

I personally would love to do 22. But I'm a minority on that one. The execs want to make sure they can do it right.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Okay, I did have a quibble with "Purple Haze." Carter gets rid of the plants by standing in the middle of them, and then sweeping the flame thrower around in a complete circle, setting the entire field ablaze with him in the middle of it. Not at all bright. Amazed he survived. It was probably one heck of a harrowing escape that they didn't show us.

with him in the middle of it

Oh, yeah, I noticed that too. I handwaved it as dramatic license. *g*

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I noticed that, too, DX, but at least, it looked like each individual plant was burning, not like a total conflagration. Still would'a been awful warm to walk through, though.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's kind of exciting liking a quirky show that seems to be doing well. And has a friend-of-the-board on it! Keeping fingers crossed.
