Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Woo-hoo, I have caught up and I can comment!
Someone besides Vincent was oding the cooking at Cafe Diem. Has that always been the case and I just didn't notice until this ep? It seemed terribly significant when I did notice it, esp. since we never saw whoever was doing the cooking and saying "order up".
No Henry leaving! I have a foot and I'm not afraid to stamp it! Well, the right one I'm not afraid to stamp, the left one kind of hurts, but I only need one.
Zoe's eye makeup is just gorgeous. Her eyes looked so fabulous when she had the red hair, I've been trying to pay extra attention to her face since, and I just love what they do with her eyes.
Deeper thoughts to follow eventually, I'm sure.
I was too sleepy to post much last night, and now I have little original to add. Colin's delivery is unfailingly great. I'm liking Stark better, and hoping that Stark and Alison will try the marriage again, leaving no romance for poor Jack. Why I want him to be romanceless, I don't know, I just didn't like the Alison/Jack not!romance. The actress playing Zoe does a really good job; Zoe is rebellious and unpredictable, but when she needs to be, smart and responsible, and the actress makes this believable. Jack is smart, and not immature, despite what they say; don't listen to them, Jack! Also, really hoping for Beverly's whole act to blow up in her face.
Was there some fancy filmwork going on during the Beverly/Alison catfight? It looked like a flash of a Tarantino movie. I liked that both women were able and willing to fight, and that Jack didn't seem to feel he had to treat them delicately.
Oh, but the best thing. Jo. So what she really wants is to be a silly giggly teenager? Whoa. Wonder if she really was, once? She was so cute.
Stark is hot, but Jack is hotter.
Jo is so wonderful - a fun drunk and good with weapons and hot. And paints landscapes! She'd make an awesome BFF.

Zack Exley (the pioneering online activism strategist from MoveOn) and other online politics hackers have put their heads together to produce the world's greatest fan-party planner for Battelstar Galactica fans. FrakParty.com's mission: "Everyone we've ever met who's into Battlestar is pretty frak'n cool. So we thought, why not get all these people together and have one big cool nationwide party when the new season Premieres on October 6th." It's like MoveOn parties, but for BSG crazies.

If you go to FrakParty.com, they have a picture of some of the cast of BSG - mouse over and see what happens....

absolutely. Also, loved that Jack didn't get involved till Bev whacked him in the face, and then said "NO!" like she was a naughty puppy.
I thought a lot of the camerawork was really exceptional, from the fights (great choreography), to the feel of the sheriff's station with Jo banging on the bars, and that subtely off-kilterness of a bit of fish-eye lens (or whatever it was) in the tunnel to the artifact. I noticed it once in the pilot when Taggart shoots Carter, and the camera pans up from Carter on the ground up to Tag, and the white cow looks like it's moving as the distortion plays over it. Just a little bit odd without being in-your-face and flashy *coughlikethenappingscenecough*.
So question, when Fargo missed "bucket-time", did he wet himself? Something along that line?
There was an odd use of a wide angle lens near the end when Jack enters the room where he's tied up Allison and Beverly. There was no reason for it and it took me out of the scene.
I assumed the bucket was for withdrawal/drug reaction related vomiting.
Cute BSG pic. It's been so long since last season, I'm finding myself not very excited about it coming back. I'm pretty sure that will change as soon as I actually see a new episode, though.
I'm in -t's foot-stamping, no Henry leaving! corner. This was a really fun ep, there was nothing I didn't enjoy about it.
And I am so stealing the line, "When I come back I'm bringing a stun gun and a weed-whacker!" and attempting to reproduce the perfect delivery.
edited for a vowel change.
That was an excellent line - great in the ads and in context.

I thought it had something to do with bathing. Zoe mentioned people starting to smell and she was going around with a bucket of water and wash cloth.
