I don't like Zoe for the same reason I hate most kids on television-- they're written to be bratty drama-generators for the main adult characters. When they're central to the show, like the teens on Buffy, they're not nearly as annoying.
Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

oh, that's s good point. I hate the brattiness factor as well. I wouldn't dislike her nearly as much if she were just a normal kid, not out to rebel.
When Colin was playing him, I just couldn't see that happening.
Even in episode 4?
It's funny--I got a couple calls from my mother (Colin, look away) saying "ita, I saw your friend being gay again." Between gay and guy in weird pants, I thought he was totally typecast.
No problem seeing him gay, myself.
I could see him gay, Carter just doesn't ping my gaydar. And if that uncomfortable look against the fence is any indication, he's attracted to Alison.
Now I want to read a crossover fic where Carter ends up in a bar with Keith Mars at some law enforcement conference, sympathizing over the difficulties of raising their daughters.

Except, for the love of all that is right and good with the world, please Please PLEASE not a slash fic.

I'm thinking you need to write it. Also, sorry Frank, that would be slash fic. (not that I would read it, because wrong)
Neither Carter nor Mars trips my gayometer, so they're safe... for now.
Even in episode 4?
I don't know if I missed that one or if my selective amnesia for American Jane spilled over to blank out an entire episode. But from the episodes I do recall, Colin's take on the character just didn't seem to allow for the sort of mistaken impression that Ben Miles' did.
Jack Carter of Mars?
