I had no idea that posting stuff counted that way, Deb. Obviously, as I post everything. Will have to watch that, in future, then. "I *forgot* that stealing was illegal." Duh.

It's not worth it, deb. In just the realm of memory, it would cause you as much or more pain as it would pleasure. When you factor in present consequences of hurting someone you love, one who loves you, and who is more understanding of wound-licking than any person I have ever known, it is not worth it. The Deborah Grabien I know does not hurt people when she has any way to avoid it, particularly for what is, at its bottom, no more than a very hollow and lonely sort of satisfaction. In fact, she usually has her crossbow at the ready to prevent just that sort of injury, particularly to those she loves.
Nah, but the demon kind of wants to. Still, not going to use it. Not even going to seriously consider it.
I need to go look at the bookshelves and see what the perfect eye level surname would be.
Deb: thanks. Not posting it, so no worries... Incidentally the circus posters you describe in the story would make excellent cover art for this anthology... *shiver* Any idea on how many contribs?
Brynn, it's eleven contributors. The anthology is called "Forty Four Clowns of the Apocalypse", eleven writers, four clowns each, equals 44.
Deb, congrats! Sounds like you got a lot of really good writing news.
Deb, what about using the names of people you care about, or forms of them, i.e. Joanna Nichols? I always thought the eye-level thing was risky -- my B&N's shelves shift from time to time, so that no one is ever in the same place forever.
Deb, maybe you could use the last name of one of your fictional characters. That would be a fun way of tying the pseudonym back to your other works.
Joanna Nichols is a nice one.
