I definitely think "focussed" looks weird. What's more interesting is that Rebecca thinks it looks weird, seeing as she's solidly American.
"Focussed" looks wrong to me, too, as if the stress should be on the second syllable.
Yeah, we're getting an echo of "concussed", which tends to leave one
