I don't think it's the "commonwealth" spelling.
I learnt to spell in Jamaica and Britain, and polished the skill in Canada. When Word first spat at travelled and focussed I was very traumatized. Or do I mean traumatised? Anyhoo, Word's US settings won't take it, but the Australian (and other commonwealth which is what I meant to mean since I always buy into the US's shucking of the label).
It's what I learnt.

I definitely think "focussed" looks weird. What's more interesting is that Rebecca thinks it looks weird, seeing as she's solidly American.
"Focussed" looks wrong to me, too, as if the stress should be on the second syllable.
Yeah, we're getting an echo of "concussed", which tends to leave one unfocussed.

Hey, all. Woo Hoo! If I can make "Perfect" a bit more...perfect, The Disability Rag, which is like the savviest, hippest, cripmag in the country,(and one that pays, in like, cash, not karma points), wants to publish it. And no, the irony of a story with a flaw called "Perfect" is not lost on me.
