"I'd rather discuss the permutations of swordplay, with an undertone of definite allusion to sex." Beverly, offering an example of when your characters give you 'tude.

*plunking out of six month lurk* General lack of posting due to general madness in my life. Anyway, I was hoping someone wouldn't mind looking over my short story. I have to submit the final copy for a CW class and could use the opinion of at least one more sophisticated reader. It's about 11 pages, double-spaced... I could grovel, or bake maybe?

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

BRYNN!

How short is short, and when is it needed by? I'm up to my ears, but would certainly try.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Wow, you two are much too kind. I've been feeling kind of guilty about the lurking... Anyway, it's 3003 words short to be exact. I have to hand it in Friday (I'm baaad, I know). Is that feasible for either of you?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Okay, thanks Deena, sj and Deb (regardless). I've just sent it your collective ways as a .doc file so let me know if you need it in some other incarnation. Deb, I sent it to you too, on the off chance that you'll have a moment. I look forward to your comments/corrections/requests for various baked goods.

Ohhh! And Deb, before I forget, those haiku you so graciously edited for me (eons ago now) have been recently accepted for publication!
