Please, ma'am. Won't get to it before tomorrow afternoon. I have a high school friend coming for lunch. Haven't seen her in ... 10 years?
It could be a short lunch.

Insending.
Right heah!!!
Funny, Greg was asking me if I was ready to go to bed, almost had me worn down and I squeeled, he asked why, I said, DEB! Sending! More Story!
He said, "Oh, well, I know I can't compete with Deb," and gave a deep sigh. He was joking, mostly. He's as excited for you, Deb, as I am.
suhNERK.
Deena, received, some good calls and a few explanations.
Astarte, will send shortly. Lemme finish up the email to Deena and fix the typos and things.
Deena! Go to BED!
Goody, goody!!!
SNARL.
I just had to reboot the system. Deena, you will have an email in the morning, ma'am. Astarte, gimme a minute more....
Stupid Netscape 7.1. Buggy as hell.
Okay Deb, tomorrow is good.
Deena, very quickly:
1. Good catches on spellings, and also on the phrasing in the 1620 journal entry, and good questions all around.
2. No reason for Penny or anyone in the room to assume Andrew was the heir; Char is a member of the family, they're not, and those two events are happening simultaneously.
3. Noble English houses aren't subject to primogeniture; females can inherit. But in this case, the question - the distaff side of the family - no. They were branches of the same family, but the Leights had gone CofE to keep Henry VIII off their backs.
on #2, Oh, right! Duh. I'd forgotten that.
and on #3, argh, dang it. I should have remembered that.
#1, yay me!
