I'm fairly certain I said no interruptions.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Deena, very quickly:

1. Good catches on spellings, and also on the phrasing in the 1620 journal entry, and good questions all around.

2. No reason for Penny or anyone in the room to assume Andrew was the heir; Char is a member of the family, they're not, and those two events are happening simultaneously.

3. Noble English houses aren't subject to primogeniture; females can inherit. But in this case, the question - the distaff side of the family - no. They were branches of the same family, but the Leights had gone CofE to keep Henry VIII off their backs.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

on #2, Oh, right! Duh. I'd forgotten that.

and on #3, argh, dang it. I should have remembered that.

#1, yay me!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Deb, I couldn't wait for tomorrow, so you have a quick and dirty--but thorough, I think--email now.

Deena, also, on Hibbert's reaction to Jane resembling the Mytens painting? That stays as is - there's a subtle little thing in there - the emphasis on how she's sitting there, bathed in sunlight, everything tranquil. He's only seen the painting twice in his life, and it wouldn't come to mind unless something - in this case, the mix of her stillness and his own mention of the painting -brought it to mid.

Bev, backsent, and Astarte, insent.

For some reason, my head just exloded. Thumpythumpythump. Right at the crown.

Ouchies. Dinner's cooking (chicken drums bubbling away in teriyaki and sweet chili sauce and red wine), and Nic's on his way, first to feed southcats and then here.

Stoopid headache.

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

Backflung, Deb. Enjoy your dinner.

Ouchies. Too much going on under that red hair today, perhaps. But still--fun!

And...backflung.

And more, with the flingbackitude.

The red head is crinkling with too much stuff today. Luckily, it's been GOOD stuff.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger
