do y'all pronounce it refiurio?
HAH! I had a paragraph in my last post about that and deleted it because I figured you already knew. But, yes. Of course! My (very white) family has been there for like 150 years.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

A page from my great-grandfather's memoirs. Perhaps of interest to Deadwood fans.
And how didn't I meet y'all sooner?
I KNOW! I love making connections like this. Small world!
There are tornado warnings south and east of me.
It's freaky.
Right here: it's not even windy or raining.
Hey! I'm south and east of you. t crawls under desk
Huh. brenda, tommyrot: we're under a tornado warning until 5:30.
This is the warning from the NWS--not quite us, but close:
STATE POLICE REPORTED STRONG ROTATION WITH THIS STORM ON I-88 JUST NORTH OF AURORA AT 420 PM CDT.
IN HIGH RISE BUILDINGS...MOVE TO INTERIOR CLOSETS...HALLWAYS... BATHROOMS OR STAIRWAYS. STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1100 PM FRIDAY EVENING FOR NORTHEASTERN ILLINOIS.
I'm waiting out the tornado warning by eating cold pizza and watching What Not To Wear.
TORNADO WARNING FOR... NORTHWESTERN COOK COUNTY IN NORTHEAST ILLINOIS
That's just south of me! We've got lightning, thunder, but not much rain right now. Last Friday, I was heading into the Jewels and a huge liightning bolt hit a few miles away, with a deafening crack of thunder immediately following. I'm sure the cat was freaking out about that, but by the time I got home, she was OK, if hungry (as usual).
Looking at radar, I think it's gonna miss me. (It's a very intense but small storm system.)
I think I shall take a nap.
Remember the oh-so-adorable Colbert Kid? Well, he's back, and this time he's armed!
