- AT 424 PM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED STRONG ROTATION IN A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM JUST SOUTH OF GENEVA... MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH.
- THE TORNADO IS WILL BE NEAR... BATAVIA AND GENEVA...NOW! DUPAGE AIRPORT...WAYNE AND WEST CHICAGO BY 430 PM BARTLETT AND CAROL STREAM BY 440 PM HANOVER PARK...ROSELLE AND STREAMWOOD BY 445 PM SCHAUMBURG AND MEDINAH BY 450 PM
STATE POLICE REPORTED STRONG ROTATION WITH THIS STORM ON I-88 JUST NORTH OF AURORA AT 420 PM CDT.

That's just south of me! We've got lightning, thunder, but not much rain right now. Last Friday, I was heading into the Jewels and a huge liightning bolt hit a few miles away, with a deafening crack of thunder immediately following. I'm sure the cat was freaking out about that, but by the time I got home, she was OK, if hungry (as usual).
Looking at radar, I think it's gonna miss me. (It's a very intense but small storm system.)
I think I shall take a nap.
