why not more shape-variant measurements to work with?
Because I'd need to travel with a notebook just to remember all my shapes.
Honestly, I think it's annoying that a 6 isn't a 6 isn't a 6. But if they were dressing approximately the same woman, I wouldn't mind so much.
I did an eBay binge a month or so ago. For that time I was totally on top of my waist/hip/bust measurements. Then I realised that I needed to know shoulder to waist--natural waist for the older stuff. Then there are the issues where having breasts makes a natural-waist outfit an empire cut on me. Or the fact that it's not just my hips that take up the space, but my thighs.
I tried the multiple measurement thing. It has sufficient limitations that I'm not sold on it at all.
Maybe the Land's End bathing-suit practice, of using geometric shapes to describe body-type, would be a good substitute for many-measurements? Size 6 for rectangles! Size 8 for inverted triangles! Anyway, that would clear up all those times that I try on a dress and it fits onto my body, but makes me look like a whore or a grandma.
Seaking of, Butty, did thos pants fit?
Seaking of, brie, yes thos pants did fit me fine, and I pranced about the house in them, and I anticipating wearing them rather a lot in the coming months (though not, thankfully, yet).
Do you see what I get from the blood kin? Butty! I ask you!!
Butty. It's catchy. I like it.
I kinda hate clothes. It's mildly depressing.

I goddamned hate it when people try and dump their work on me. "ita, can you supply them the information they requested in their template format?"
When the fuck did I become a developer? Logical architecture? Life cycle details?
Bite me.
I don't know Steph, I think JZ is right on this one.
Pish! I play Sexy M.F. all the time while I'm driving!
I think (as JZ pointed out) it's a good city driving song, but not necessarily a good long haul/highway song.

How do your criteria differ?
Ailleann, that's brilliant. I need to bookmark it.

There are a couple of plus-size web site who do that and it's great. (zaftique.com and igigi.com) Love it.
I think there should be a collective web site where secret info about certain manufacturers can be found, i.e. Don't buy pants from LLBean unless you have a waist-hip ratio greater than X; Isaac Mizrahi for Target is cut long-waisted; etc. Except manufacturers do not size consistently within their own brand, I have found!

I'm discovering, I've been pretty much an Ann Taylor Loft 6, and almost still am, just that I've never bumped into their hip/thigh sizings quite as hard as I have these past few days. I'm not their shape anymore!
