Skipping (for the last time this year. Well, this Jewish-calendaric year, but still), to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is Sophia Brooks' birthday. Happy birthday, Sophia! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!
Also, since I'll probably be away from the computer until after Monday, I'll post already that tomorrow, the 22nd, will be Lilty Cash's birthday (Whose posts I haven't seen in a little forever, but I do hope the well-wishes find their way to her somehow), and Saturday, the 23rd, will be Emmett's birthday (he will be, what, 10 years old already? Like, a double-digits age and everything? Or did I get my numbers all wrong? There's a "1" to carry suddenly and everything, so I wouldn't be the least surprised if I got it wrong).
Also, for everybody who has a new year starting on Saturday, shana tova! And to really-everybody, just a plain old good time.
Happy Birthday, Sophia!
Happy New Year, Nilly.
I was just thinking about Lilty the other day, and that I hadn't seen her here at all, lately.
I think September is a much more sensible time for beginning a year. Either September or March/April. This January business is craziness. No wonder the empire fell.
Happy birthday Sophia!
Happy new year Nilly! (And the other Jewfolk too!)
ION, how am I up at on time o'clock and NOT gronkly? It's a trick, I tell you! shares many ungronkly vibes with everyone
I seem to have slept heavily and well -- I think it was because the temperature dipped into the 40s (F) last night and I had the quilt on top of me. I sleep better all wrapped up, maybe.
I'll take some of that action, Ailleann.
Happy birthday, Sophia!
Happy New Year, Jews! Um, that doesn't sound right. You know what I mean.
Not to be all pro-coup or anything, but god damn, Hugo Chavez cracks me up. At the UN:
“Yesterday, the devil came here,” Mr. Chávez said, alluding to Mr. Bush’s appearance before the General Assembly on Tuesday. “Right here. Right here. And it smells of sulfur still today, this table that I am now standing in front of.”
Then Mr. Chávez made the sign of the cross, brought his hands together as if in prayer and glanced toward the ceiling.
Happy Birthday Sophia!!!
Thanks for all the birthday wishes yesterday, guys. I had an awesome day yesterday:
a) I took the day off from work
b) one of my best friends was hanging out with me
c) I went to a spa and had a massage that cost $.50 (it was covered by my insurance.)
d) I went to see Billy Bragg in concert last night and he was his usual charming self. All the self-important socialists were there. Bill cracked himself and us up talking about talking cats on You Tube.
However, most of the glow of the day was wrecked by the absolutely miserable sleep I had last night.
I vote we grant Hugo Chavez honorary Buffista status.
I just watched
The Colbert Report
from last night, and the opening, with a vid remix of Stephen's light saber, scenes from
Star Wars
and a special guest appearance from The Great Satan himself was just amazing.
