Y'all see the man hanging out of the spaceship with the really big gun? Now I'm not saying you weren't easy to find. It was kinda out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's lookin' to kill some folk. So really it's his will y'all should worry about thwarting.

What is even happening?

I love Keith Richards, he's a role model and an object lesson all in one.

Hee!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am googleable. And it's just going to get worse.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh man. I thought I was safe from a high school reunion, but no. It's apparently "in the works." Also, my former class president signed her name "Dr. Blah Blah" She's a PhD. I thought they didn't Do That socially?

I googled Jesse!

It's all relatively professional, right?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Among her friends, she prolly doesn't. Among former classmates that are (probably) judging her (she thinks)?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Please. Half our class is lucky if they aren't locked up.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Yeah, but if they're anything like my former classmates, they'll still be impressed.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

It's all relatively professional, right?

Pretty much, yep. There's a lot of Jesses that aren't you in the world. I googled ita and came up with nuthin.

Oh crap. It's only 2:47.

Because I’m an academic I get a few hundred hits when I Google myself, but they are mostly references to papers I’ve written, or records of my attendance at meetings, or other things that have almost nothing to do with me. I doubt that there are too many people scouring the internet and cackling “Ah Ha! I found out that he seconded a motion to adjourn the Library Committee meeting in 2003! Very interesting!” It’s a different kind of safety in numbers.

I have nowhere to hide. According to google, I am the only one with my name. Which might very well be true, it is a bizarre combination.

Oh, sure. I just doubt that she actually thinks she still needs to impress the jokers.

There's a lot of Jesses that aren't you in the world.

True. And a surprising number of people with my last name.
