Shit's all sorts of different now.

Yeah, but if they're anything like my former classmates, they'll still be impressed.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

It's all relatively professional, right?

Pretty much, yep. There's a lot of Jesses that aren't you in the world. I googled ita and came up with nuthin.

Oh crap. It's only 2:47.

Because I’m an academic I get a few hundred hits when I Google myself, but they are mostly references to papers I’ve written, or records of my attendance at meetings, or other things that have almost nothing to do with me. I doubt that there are too many people scouring the internet and cackling “Ah Ha! I found out that he seconded a motion to adjourn the Library Committee meeting in 2003! Very interesting!” It’s a different kind of safety in numbers.

I have nowhere to hide. According to google, I am the only one with my name. Which might very well be true, it is a bizarre combination.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, but if they're anything like my former classmates, they'll still be impressed.

Oh, sure. I just doubt that she actually thinks she still needs to impress the jokers.

There's a lot of Jesses that aren't you in the world.

True. And a surprising number of people with my last name.

Oh! I get what you're saying now. (sorry - slow brain term paper burned it out last night)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Every hit for my sister's first and last are her. All professional, though, and indicate nothing other than her alma mater and specialisation.

I fully understand that burnout.

Now I'm going to have to go to the damn reunion, if only to make fun of Dr. Class President.

Dr. Class President.

See, I'd keep running after her saying, "Dr. Mrs. President! Dr. Mrs. President!"
