George Clooney may have been across the street from Trudy, but *I* was ten feet away from Pierce Brosnan and Liam Neeson!!

At once? Dude. My pants would have been SUPER porny...

Yep, at the same time--they were in the airport, checking in for a flight (as was I, but different flight sadly)

The Swedish are kinkless? I didn't know this.

The Swedish drag kings I know are mostly pretty kinky seeming...

I've heard the reason that homely guys are used in porn is because they use whoever has the ability to get it up on command and fuck all day for the multiple takes, and that's just a limited pool of guys to start with.

But now with Viagra they can get the hot guys? Huh.

One of these days, Northern Virginia will seriously contemplate becoming its own state. The political beliefs and issues facing this region are completely opposite from the rest of the commonwealth, and have already caused serious strife in Richmond

I wish. Maybe we could get them in with DC and have some representation on up in here...The anti-unions bill in Virginia is SCARY--it's hard core.

Is there such a thing as a shoe kink which does not rise to the level of fetish?

Maybe if you notice a girl's shoes, and notice her because of htem, and think they're hot, but you're not like, buying her shoes to wear, and asking her to wear them in bed or anything? Like once she takes them off, you're still all about the girl?

Also? Fried mac and cheese on teevee? GROSSER THAN FUCKING GROSS! Only CSI has made me rush for the toilet faster

Really? It makes me really want mac and cheese!!!

and maybe go to the Chester Beatty library just around the corner, which is a huge collection of Asian artifacts and also, free!

SA!! I highly recommend the Chester Beatty library, it's really really neat!

I'm more just incredulous. I mean, trying to get money from the city council? Why don't they just ask for a personal rocket to Mars, it is as likely. It's just so...podunk. These individuals have already proven they don't really think too big. I mean...Cruces? If it weren't such an evil threat, and the local police so poorly considered, I'd be laughing.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

This morning I got a massage at a local day spa, then went to a nearby shopping area(Kentlands, for those in Montgomery County) for lunch and look for the crafts show that allegedly was happening there. As it turned out, I found no trace of said show. Since the only mention of it was on a flyer that got thrown out, I guess I'm not surprised.(I did go into the PetSmart and cooed over the kitties available for adoption)

Now? Now I'm watching the Red Sox-Yankees game.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

REALLY COOL video of a vampire squid.

I see Pope Sidious is at it again...

Just got back from the arts district street fair. Lots of neat booths, exhibits and such, but we got a return to 90° temperatures especially for today, and as I was leaving I walked past a summer school van on the periphery playing "It's a Small World."

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."

Muslims took that wrong, huh? Sheesh, sensitive much?

Yeah. And while the very early Christian movement was highly nonviolent what with the martyrs being fed to lions and all, I'd think people of the Islamic faith would have more recent historical memories of, say, the Crusades and the ejection of the Moors from Spain. Benedict's throwing stones from inside a glass basillica.

Now tagless for your comfort.

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."

Oh, yeah, that'll help. Wasn't Ratz talking about a Medieval manuscript? 'Cause if we could start pulling stuff out on Christianity from the same period to give everyone a little perspective.

Always Anti-fascist!

I hate that because it seems to me he can say what he wants and be protected from the consequences.
