It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

my fingers seem to have a will of their own regarding which words they want to type, regardless of things like sentences, structure, logic or anything at all

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Did we know about the Mini Faces of Ewan website?

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Apparently, this hour of television is sponsored by Las Vegas. Like, the entire city. Really wants me to watch Everybody Hates Chris.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I've seen Men in Trees and I like it. A lot.

Which means it will be cancelled after three episodes. *sigh*

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

b.org's birthday (it's 4 years old, could you believe it?).

You mean it hasn't been here since the start of time? Yes, my brain knows this, but it just seems wrong somehow.

Happy Anniversary LJ and DH. (which I initially typed Happy Anniversity, but that just makes no sense at all)

And...we have a real bionic woman! [link]

What do you like about it, Cash?

I liked the characters--odd but not too odd. The look is great--good lighting, great scenery. I don't think the sexual chemistry is forced. I think it's pretty. And I'm even buying the plot. If she's going to write about men, it's the perfect spot for it.

I was getting some of that at first, but I have such a hard time when shows "set" in Alaska don't even try to get it right. I understand that they won't get it perfect, but mukluks in mud. Argh!

Well, they say that the odds are good but the goods are odd. It's still true, I suppose (the first part, that is), but not nearly to the extent they imply. The second part, however, is completely true. No doubt at all.

Since I have no experience, I'm just handwaving the setting. Mountains, lakes, wolves--ALASKA!

Patrick should have told her to bring her Uggs.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Even though I've gotten no writing done today, I feel super productive, having made a peach clafouti, a batch of granola, and meatloaf.
