I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Yeah, Aimee, push on up the ladder so I can still claim 5'6"!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Give it up, Aimee.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I submit! I'm really 5' 8". HA! TAKE THAT, JOE!! (Joe measured me once and told me I was 5' 6")

(I love that I can ask my boss to measure my height and he doesn't even blink.)

I look more rad than Lutheranism

But a Levi's 501 32w/34l is always the same.

Whenever I buy clothes, I always think that women's clothes should just be sized by measurement. It would be so much easier.

Also, I would KILL to be a size 14 again. IJS. And it makes me so sad -- and angry -- that 14 is considered (by society in general) to be "fat." Pfft. WhatEV.

I always think of you as my height, Aimée.

Is this where we bring up the "Shrift posts taller" phenomenon?

(doughnuts tasted BAD to me, WTF?)

Okay, where is Plei, and WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH HER? WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR? EAT A MUFFIN, WHITEY! CAN YOU SMELL WHAT THE TEP IS COOKING?

Now tagless for your comfort.

Update on my brother: He did get his medication today. But not without a fight. The nurse had to call in my dad to help convince him to take his medication. Here's a tip to the fuckwad nurse--GIVE HIM THE SHOT ON TIME NEXT TIME and there won't be a problem.

I'm relieved but my dad had a pretty traumatic day being accused of being a part of the vast conspiracy trying to kill my brother by poisoning him.

I'm in the black hole of sizes (14-16), now. But I'm edging up into the plus size isn't too small anymore. I'm surpisingly untroubled by this fact. My height isn't helping but there's nothing I can do about being 5'4".

Oh goodness, wouldn't it? Which is why I've been so happy to find sellers on eBay (all companies out of Hong Kong, true) that will make the sort of clothes I want to my measurements, with no surcharges for custom sizing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I haven't paid much attention to guys and their ability to get stuff in their size--my father is pretty textbook proportionately (although hardly representative) and he seems to have no problem.

However many of the guys at krav have a worse time than I do. Makes sense, I guess. The existence of sizing by measurement doesn't actually ensure your size in the store.

I'm getting no love from the ebay instant winner contest. Anyone here playing?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And people still have wildly different proportions. I'm glad that vintage stuff on eBay is listed with measurements, but it still doesn't mean that many of them fit me.
